Routes in Marpissa

Routes in Marpissa is a three-day, experiential, cultural festival organized by a group of volunteers and takes place every August in Marpissa, Paros. The festival has as its central idea to create routes and points of interest in the traditional settlement, around themes of architecture, folklore, music, art and environment. It is designed on the characteristics and scale of the village, showing with respect to the hospitable character of this place. It aims at an experiential approach of activities so everyone can have an active role in the events. The participation and interaction of residents, visitors and volunteers work together in a unique, creative result.

Environmental & Cultural Park of Paros Ai Yiannis Detis

Paros Park is a 800.000m² (200 acres) protected peninsula of natural and historical interest, offering various environmental & cultural activities such as: a long network walking trails, an open-air theatre and cinema, various beaches, historical sites (a 100-year old lighthouse, a medieval monastery), a museum, a beach bar/restaurant and a water ski school. Every summer, it runs an Arts Festival with various concerts and shows. The restaurant area is also available for social events hosting.

“Friends of Paros” is a not-for-profit association, founded at the initiative of the inhabitants of Paros in 2002, as well as of other people who feel, in one way or another, connected to this picturesque island of Cyclades Archipelago.

Nautical Club of Paros

The Nautical Club of Paros organizes national & international sailing tournaments, and offers sailing and swimming lessons for all ages, training and recreational. In its premises at Livadia beach, there's a beach volleyball court and a beautiful cafe-restaurant open all day long for drinks and tasty, home-made Greek dishes. The Nautical Club operates all year round. Closed during Christmas Holidays.

Nireas

Athletic and Cultural association, based in Naoussa. It currently runs football and volley ball teams and a football academy for kids. It also organizes various cultural events throughout the year, including theatre, concerts, traditional feasts etc. • Nireas has its own football field and a cultural hall with a theatre stage.

Paros Festival

Paros Festival is a three-day cultural event that takes place in mid-July in Parikia, the capital town of the island. Its main goal is to promote the diverse culture of the place and its people. Music, architecture, literature, arts and crafts and any sort of religious or other traditions -the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the island provide a rich context within which people can engage with the past and the present of the place.
