"In my fantasy my 'still lives' became more and more vivid, my peppers, flowers and bottles all of a sudden took on human appearences, so this spring I began to experiment with portraits. At random I took the faces of loved ones, travel encounters and famous people who have touched me. Paros is definitely a source of multiple inspirations."

Previous exhibitions:
Aghios Athanasios, Naoussa 2003 and 2004
Lefkes Gallery, Lefkes 2005
solo exhibition Ersi Gallery, Athenns 2008

" Self-lit, appear through a charismatic transparency and impressive brightness the paintings of Miki. The impressive, metaphysical use of light by the painter adds relief and transparency to the fruit of nature, the flowers, the bottles, the recipients, and whatever else is represented here so that they appear like independent self-sufficient sources of energy and of light: metaphysical items which send us poetic messages. A thoroughly new experience, each one of the paintings by Miki relates in an inspired way the sensual and the metaphysical, the earthly and the spiritual annihilating the classification bearing the title "still life". Furthermore, the original use of colour, the inspired rendering of the light the endless energy which is orchestrated here do confer to us not mere pictures but authentic poetic experiences."

Ulrike Lassen
born in Hamburg/Germany
living in Paros/Greece since 2001

Art is for her a way of living and an opportunity to get in touch with herself.
Inspired by nature - especially the stones in combination with the strong "greek light", she finds various forms.
By playing with them she discovers and develops new ones.
Allowing you to discover an honest approach to your own archetypes, art gives a meaning in an often meaningless world.

She believes
"Everything already exists / and we create our world"
The world is full of pictures which talk to us - my part is to discover them and make them visible.

She had various exhibitions in Germany, US and Greece.
