The neighbourhood
In Parikia houses are built and decorated in the traditional Cycladic style. The old town is behind the seafront road. The houses there are adjacent to one another with heavy stone walls and narrow paved paths between them – built like fortresses to protect from pirate invasions. The well-known Parian marble and other traces of antiquity can be seen all around. The houses are surrounded by blooming flowers and trees giving the town a picturesque aspect.

Getting around
Cars can be parked 5 mins away from the house. A short walk from the house is the main port of the island, there are numerous seafront cafés, restaurants and bars, shops, beaches, arts and culture, the port itself, grocery stores and much more…
